Before someone else does, I want to mention the LAN parties that SEADS organize. There are some noteworthy differences between their parties and what I'd like SEFLAN to be:

1. SEADS' parties span all of Florida and even Louisiana. SEFLAN will only be in Southeast Florida.
2. SEADS' parties are organized around Cons and gaming conventions. SEFLAN aims be it's own event.
3. Those Cons and gaming conventions are typically annual events. I'd like SEFLAN to be a quarterly experience.

So if you're thinking that SEFLAN will "compete" with SEADS' events, then no. I don't even intend on scheduling a SEFLAN LAN party on weekends that SEADS is hosting one (in South Florida). Basically, they were here first, so we won't step on any toes

Their next event is Saturday, May 2nd, in Davie, Florida, at the "Anime Schoolhouse Rock." Here is some more information. If anyone plans on going, let us know how it is!

HELLO Just popped in to say Hi.

This is James aka The Captain. I am the host of SEADS LAN Parties and just wanted to comment on this. I am not to familiar with your LAN but do want to wish you the best of Luck. SEADS LAN party is a Subsidiary of SEADS LLC. We are a Computer Service Company. We offer on site sales and Service in the Tri County area. SEADS LAN Parties came about on a whim sort of. We started helping out at Necronomicon's LAN Room and got invited to host our Parties at other Conventions in the area. We are expanding to the South East Region of the US and hope to keep growing. We do also host our LAN Parties for Homes and privet events but the Convention Circuit seems to be our forty for now. If SEF LAN needs assistance getting off the ground SEADS LAN Parties would be happy to help.

As for our last event it went well though the Con's attendance was not what we had hoped for but ASR said they made a profit so all is well and we were invited back for ASR 2010.

This is The Captain Back again to say Hi to all the Gamers out there. Sorry we were not able to make the first event but we definitely are gonna try to attend future events if we can. I want to point out SEADS LAN Parties do travel but we are happy to host an event local when we can. It does not matter to Us it the event is a Convention or a privet home we are always available to show up with our equipment and game is on.

I would like to see a regular event happening monthly or even quarterly. Seeds has the equipment but just not a Location to host local events. But one day soon we hope to open a Local LAN Center in the South Florida area but for now our friends at Zero ping are the only LAN Center we are familiar with and we wish then all the Luck, It may be mostly WOW fans but they have a great set up and are centrally located in Broward County.

Hop you guys get up and running as well. Lets us know if you need Bawls Energy Drinks too we have half a pallet to move out and our cons will average 100 - 300 bottles but half a pallet is 840 bottles Plus so we have plenty around...

Very cool! I received your FaceBook event invite on this too. I would love to come by, but I'll be hosting a LAN party in New York that weekend. It's unfortunate because Chibi Pa is so close to me too. Maybe next time. Have fun!

No worries on the promoting. That's all good information to know and get out.

I haven't been to Zero Ping yet. All of the LAN centers that I knew of in Palm Beach county have closed down now. What a bummer.
